Shona Cole, author of the book The Artistic Mother – A Practical Guide For Fitting Creativity into Your Life, is a mixed-media artist and photographer using her camera, paint, papers and poetic words to capture her vision of life and family. Penelope Dullaghan is an award-winning illustrator and fine artist who started her freelance career after a five-year stint as an art director. Tiffini Elektra X is a graphic and mixed-media artist. She sits in her art studio and tries to make things that look pretty. “I want to make things look pretty for the rest of my life. I love collecting old books, vintage scraps, worn things and working them into my art. Susan McKivergan is a freelance digital artist with a background in traditional art. She attended St. Petersburg College in Clearwater, Florida, obtaining two years towards her bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. Marie Otero is a self-taught, mixed-media artist and graphic designer. Izabella Pierce is a self-taught, outsider/mixed-media/collage artist. She lives in Las Vegas and works her magic in an art studio she calls “the dungeon” (a wine cellar converted to a work space). She was recently introduced to Photoshop, which she madly adores because of the endless possibilities it provides for her work, allowing her to alter her existing work digitally. Pilar Isabel Pollock is an artist and writer who resides in Southern California. Mikel Robinson is a self-trained North Carolina artist whose work centers on the use of Adobe Photoshop and turn-of-the century photography. Influenced by the Outsider Art movement, Robinson’s work is often very abstract in nature and hard to classify.  Visually, his art has the nostalgic qualities of days past, combined with the attempt to directly connect with viewers’ emotions. Kelly Sheridan is currently an MFA candidate in Interdisciplinary Art at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont and she holds a BFA Cum Laude from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. Playing video games with a friend inspired her to try her hand at digital art in the late 1990’s and subsequently return to college to continue her arts education. Her paintings, digital, and video work have been exhibited nationally and have garnered numerous awards. She has recently digitized the collection for the Frye Art Museum in Seattle where she resides.
