Cabin Fever

Susan Tuttle PhotographyI live in Maine but it feels more like winter in Alaska these days. Cold, cold, cold. Today was a high of 3. Overnight is predicted to be 10 to 20 degrees below 0. Perhaps I will wear a woolen cap to bed tonight, or maybe we will all camp out around the woodstove. Hmmm, the prospect sounds rather nice. The kiddos have not yet returned to school, as we’ve had two snow days, but unfortunately they can’t go out to play in this frigid cold. We are all learning the true meaning of cabin fever. Oh, that’s our big boy Norwegian Forest cat Leo. His gray mane fluffs out in winter and thins when spring returns.  Susan Tuttle PhotographySusan Tuttle PhotographySabrina Ward Harrison remains one of my favorite mixed-media artists. I’ve been relishing in the pages of her book And the Story is Happening. Her spontaneous, colorful, whimsical creations ignite little sparks within me. She gets me excited about painting freely, embracing the blank white canvas with the fervency of a toddler with potfuls of finger paints.Susan Tuttle Photographysnow. ice. so cold it hurts.Susan Tuttle PhotographyMore Sabrina…Susan Tuttle PhotographySunday will be beach weather — 40!
