I am so excited to share with you the launching of my dear friend’s Etsy shop, lovelinebaskets. Gallit creates cord baskets in a variety of styles, sizes and colors. The eco-friendly vessels are made from high quality cord that she dyes with locally-sourced ingredients; mostly vegetables from her organic farm, and foraged plants. I own many of her baskets, including the harvest tote I forage with! Not only are they beautiful and well-made, but they are functional. Gallit began making these exquisite baskets after the death of her newborn son three years ago. The process has helped her to “center in her grief and find a new way in life.” She says, “I believe that I can turn the work of my grief and sorrow into something fruitful and beautiful.” 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping to grow her family.
