After a blustery, drizzly, yet fortunately not too chilly evening of trick-or-treating in the village, we put the kiddos to bed and cuddled on the couch under a woolen blanket, enjoying the glow from our pumpkins and sipping a treat for the holiday — a chocolate liqueur poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with a dash of nutmeg.
