Take Your Photos From Good to Great! :: DIY Backdrop Idea

It’s time for another Take Your Photos From Good to Great! Are you in need of a fresh and creative photography backdrop idea to add some charm and sparkle to your portraits? Buy a swatch of floral fabric and tack it to a wall near a brightly-lit window. For a dreamy blurred background, have your subject sit a few feet in front of the backdrop and use a wide aperture setting on your DSLR (I used f/2.8 for these shots). To make the scene brighter, I bounced the light from the window onto my daughter’s face with a white reflector.
