ice

Susan Tuttle PhotographySusan Tuttle PhotographySusan Tuttle PhotographySusan Tuttle PhotographySusan Tuttle PhotographyI hope you are winding down from the bustle of the holidays, sinking into an easy chair or fluffy couch loaded with pillows, reading a good book, dozing when you feel like it, watching an artsy flick, nibbling on some treats, enjoying time with people you care about, and not feeling obligated to do anything except much of nothing. Today I’m sipping mugs of hot peppermint tea, wiggling my toes in the softest snuggly socks, and resting a pulled muscle in my back on a heating pad (don’t ask). We are home relaxing after traveling to visit loved ones, playing with our new Christmas toys. This one is mine.:-) I’m usually a silver loving girl, but this time I chose gold. You can expect a brand new iPhoneography self-portrait online workshop from me this winter, so stay tuned. Be sure that you are signed up for my mailing list to receive all the latest workshop details when they become available.

The holiday season has been filled with excitement! — as you can see, we had a significant ice storm, which was followed by more snow. The ice hit just before Christmas and knocked out our electricity for 22 hours, but we were lucky to have the warmth of our wood stove and power from our generator. Some Mainers are still without power. I’m hoping some of the smaller trees will spring back once the ice melts. We also have a little water damage to contend with.:-( The one positive of the storm is the magnificent photo opportunities it provided me with.

You may have noticed I freshened up the design and organization of my website/blog. There is now a home page which is a static page that consists of links to my blog, books, and online workshop information, as well as recent posts and links to my portfolio. The intention behind the static home page is to sum up what I do and provide some basic information on what my site/blog is all about, which I think can be helpful, especially to new readers. I do have a love for design, so it was a good opportunity to flex my creative design muscles.

As always thank you for stopping by! Did you put your tea kettle on? XO
