Hallowell, Maine

Our only goals for the day were to simply get out there and see something beautiful, exercise our bodies, and eat some good food. The town of Hallowell, Maine gave us just what we needed; a foliage trip to Vaughan Woods, also known as Hobbit Land, simple and tasty pub food with local beer at The Liberal Cup, and some photo-worthy scenes on the main drag that piqued all kinds of creative ideas in me. Upon returning home, we made our first fire in the woodstove to take the chilly, damp feeling out of the air. After the kids were tucked in bed, I poured the mister and I a fresh fruity sangria that had marinated while we were on our adventure. He read digital newspapers while I delighted in processing my photos from the day. I experimented with some moodier tones — I think I like — hope you do too. XO
