IG — Instagram! So, have you joined the sheep? — have you purchased an iPhone? I’m usually not one to follow, but in this case the hype is real — it’s a good thing! I love my iPhone and at this point in time feel that it is one of my most creative photography outlets. Through my iPhoneography I explore a more edgy artform — edgier than what you usually see on my blog. Below are some of my most recents. My iPhoneography is created in a purist manner, with iPhone only. My phone is clogged with 100s of photography apps and (as an aside) I have not yet come up with a clever way to organize them all — help! I share this work on IG, where my username is ILKASATTICDOTCOM (for those of you who knew me back in the days of my artistic inception, you’ll recall I went by the nomenclature Ilka’s Attic).
London is calling me! — I will be a part of a curated group show in central London this December with some of the most talented up-and-coming, international mobile artists. If you are passionate about creating iPhoneography you will soon be able to submit your own entries for consideration, via open call, for a special mosaic-style display that will also be a part of the exhibit. I will post about these submission details as soon as they become available. Now, I just need to win the lottery so I can attend the show!:)
