I have been a loyal reader of, fan of, and frequent contributor to so many Stampington & Company publications over the years. One of my most favorite magazines of theirs is Somerset Digital Studio. It’s been exciting to see the digital art medium take root and grow with astonishing speed into a full-fledged artform through digital photography, photo editing, and now mobile photography. Somerset has been following and encouraging this development every step of the way.
I am proud to share that I was recently named Technical Advisor for Somerset Digital Studio magazine and I look forward to the work ahead with their talented staff and the artists I get to meet and work with through the process. The next issue, available this March, is filled with mobile photography! — work from many talented mobile artists like Sarah Jarrett, Edi Caves, and Nicki Fitz-Gerald, plus instruction, helpful tips and techniques. 
The 2013 Mobile Photography Awards results were just released, and wow, I am blown away at the talent this year! You must check it out! It’s so exciting to see mobile photography coming into its own right. Truly amazing and a part of art history. I wasn’t sure if I should enter the contest this year, as I have not been able to dedicate much time to creating fresh mobile material and I’ve been in a bit of a creative rut, looking to push the boundaries more, just not sure how yet. At the last minute I did enter and was very happy to have my piece Around and Around chosen as an honorable mention for the Self-Portrait category.
