technicolor dream world

summery days where the light is long, my mind is slow with daydream, and my senses are keen and inviting in all that is around me. color that i embrace and dance with, for it is short-lived, as maine gives mostly browns, blacks, grey and white the majority of the year. rich textures. light. oh how i love when the sun is high in the sky and plays upon all that is around me — illuminating brilliance that makes my skin feel like warm, fresh bread and strikes a most beautiful chord in my heart. the scents this time of year are close to ethereal — roses, valerian, my collection of herbs. tastes of the earth straight from the garden, from minutia — the tiny seeds we sowed back in early spring — nothing short of a miracle now. mellifluous choruses of bird call coaxing me out of clean white lavender-scented sheets at first light, to appreciate all that is new in this quiet stretch of the wee hours. unfurling limbs so sweetly tired with digging in dirt. ready for possibility. adventure. simple delight.

and then there is iced coffee… i could devote an entire post to this drink. perhaps i will.

words are not enough to describe all of this abundance for the soul. how lucky i feel to have a body pulsing with these sensual gifts. i feel so rich. i lack for nothing.

i dance.

life. so much life!…
