snapshots from late summer and fall

I have been filling and warming my belly with scrumptious Thanksgiving leftovers — toasted turkey sandwich with gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and sharp cheddar for lunch, a hot steaming plate piled high for supper, and my most favorite — spicy pumpkin pie and vanilla cinnamon coffee for breakfast! I’m not sure which I like best — feasting on the actual holiday or enjoying these delectable remains of the celebration. Inspiration sure can come from interesting places — in fact, thinking about my love of leftovers actually inspired this blog post! These photos never made it into previous blog posts, mostly because I couldn’t make them “work” at the time, creatively-speaking. But now I am seeing these images with fresh eyes as I comb through my photo archives, playing with them in Photoshop, and enjoying them as I savor my last few bites of pie…
