I am bedazzled and utterly seduced by this year’s autumnal brew of striking, deep color. The trees are ablaze with golden yellow, fiery orange, and ruby-red leaves, more so than usual, and the well-seasoned Mainers are saying it is because of the early cold, which makes the tones pop. Being the wild adventuress that I am, I planned many a daytrip for my family filled with scenic leaf peeping drives and hikes, followed by hardy, traditional coastal Maine fare (ayup, that would be clam chowdah and lobstah and steamahs with drawn buttah) and craft cocktails (for the adults of course). Life is good! Ayup!
