A bit of what I’m enjoying these days:
- wearing my thrifted, hint-of-pink fuzzy jacket for Fall and inhaling the sublime sweetness of my last roses this gardening season
- walking in the forest on a soft bed of newly fallen pine needles
- painting abstracts to hang on the empty walls of my studio
- making a luxurious writing nook for myself all from thrifted goods, free finds from my town’s Recycling Barn, and natural treasures from the woods outside our door
- taking notice of the changing light as we approach the darker months
- infusing our home with the rich, chocolaty scent of Baking Brownies incense sticks
- creating indoor and outdoor altars with candles, crystals, and flora from the forest
- decorating for autumn with pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn from the local orchard while a pot of mulled cider simmers on the stove and Glenn Gould’s Goldberg Variations flood the atmosphere with beauty
- photographing the warm glow of autumn with both my digital SLR and my iPhone
- excitedly awaiting the arrival of my birthday gift from my husband — the new iPhone 6s Plus in rose gold

- I love Halloween and have had a fascination with this holiday since I was a little girl. It is not surprising that my love for the macabre has found its way into my digital art. In my latest article for Manfrotto, I show you how to create ghostly figures using a “double exposure” technique with the iPhone.
- Text and imagery can make a magical pair when it comes to design. In my feature for Roben-Marie Smith’s Art to the 5th., I show you how to marry the two in your digital art creations (scroll down a bit in the post to see the tutorial).
I hope you will en-joy!
