Black and White Photography :: a Study

Black and white photography. Bare bones of light and shadow — sentiment and emotion. Pure. Love.

The temperatures have been cold, cold, cold in Maine. I’ve been wrapping myself in woolen sweaters and blankets, snuggling close to my loves, warming my body with hot tea, rays of sunlight coming through the windows, and the heat from our woodstove. I’ve been busy teaching photography to adults and art classes to kids — I always marvel at how much comes back to you when you share. I feel so inspired!

In my spare time I’ve been transforming our tiny sunny library into an oasis of flora — both hanging and potted plants. It feels so deep down good to play in the dirt and inhale that sweet earthy scent. I’ll share pictures very soon.

Snow is coming. Lots of it! That makes me happy. More tea, more toasty woodstove, more snuggles:)

Thank you for stopping by. Come again tomorrow — I have a freebie treat just for you! XO
