iPhoneography feature on WCSH6 NBC Local News

Susan Tuttle :: WCSH6 NBC TV segment

I love both my digital SLR and iPhone 5s when it comes to making photographs, each for different reasons. One of the beauties of a smartphone is that it’s an affordable, user-friendly device that makes the art of photo-making available to more people worldwide! When shooting with a cellphone camera, you don’t have to worry about camera settings like you would with a DSLR and instead can focus solely on framing a great photo and shooting from the gut, which can yield an inspiring photo most of the time!

I had the privilege of doing a story with WCSH6 NBC local news in Portland, Maine — about how to take good smartphone pictures. The segment aired on Thursday, May 1, as the station’s kick-off for National Photography Month!

Happy smartphone photo-making!
