Mobile Photography Awards 2013

My slim, pocket-sized iPhone serves as one of my most creative outlets. I enter a timeless dreamworld as I create portraiture, landscape and still life pieces with worn, weathered patinas. The finished products tend to resemble blurred antique photographs that you would find pressed between the rough black pages of a long-forgotten photo album sitting at the bottom of a chest in an old, dusty attic. This stylistic niche is both freeing and challenging for me. I am still exploring this warm cocoon of possibility and do not yet feel bound or burnt out by it. Here are some of my latest mobile art works…Three of my iPhoneography pieces will be a part of the Mobile Photography Awards exhibit at the Soho Gallery for Digital Art in NYC, February 22-28, 2013. All three works received honorable mentions across four separate categories. If you enjoy mobile art and are in the New York area at that time, I highly recommend a visit to the gallery — works were chosen from thousands of entries sent in from 40 different countries. Congratulations to all of the artists whose work will be on exhibit at the show, and thank you to Dan Berman (founder of MPA) and all of the judges for dedicating their time and expertise to make this cutting edge event possible. I thank you for stopping by, Lovelies, as always.
