Watercolor Skies

The morning sky looked like a watercolor painting. Watercolor. I love this word and all that it conjures up in my sensory imagination; fluid colors running, mixing, and soaking into cold-pressed paper. Watery sounds of the brush swirling in an old mason jar filled with a colorful liquid that morphs alongside the evolving painting. I am feeling inspired. I think it may be time to get out my paints and a fresh piece of paper.

Book LOVE:

Looking for a good read? I am currently reading Just Kids by Patti Smith — a memoir about her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe and the creative life they spent together. I cannot put the book down. Her voice is filled with truth, poetry, acute observation, and a unique and beautiful rawness, as she paints the picture of their story.

Thank you for stopping by. Come again this week, as I have some goodies lined up for you — a fun votive candle DIY project, hot FREE downloadable fonts, and some iPhoneography inspiration.

XO Lovelies!
