20 inches of glorious snow has accumulated in the last two days, making for magical treks through our woods, building snow forts, and sledding (we call it sliding in Maine). Our lazy vacation days have been filled with naps under woolen blankets, hot drinks, warm homemade bread, lounging most of the day in our PJs, playing with new Christmas toys and games, slurping bowl after bowl of my sweetie’s famous chili, photowalks through the snowy forest, lighting candles, sucking on peppermint sticks, getting lost in this special book over a cup of coffee or glass of malbec, spending precious time with family, and hosting small gatherings with friends. It has been so nice to slow down, spend time with loved ones, play, rest, and just be. Thank you for stopping by Lovelies. Sending you warm wishes for the New Year! 2013 — I like that number. Something about it sounds like bells. XO
